Amelia Rising is currently recruiting new members for its Board of Directors.

Amelia Rising Sexual Violence Support Centre is a registered charity serving survivors of sexual and gender-based violence ages 12 and up in the Nipissing District. Our mission is to support survivors to heal from sexual and gender-based violence and to educate and advocate for systemic and social change required to end sexual and gender-based violence.

The Board of Directors is currently recruiting new board members to start immediately. The monthly time commitment is approximately 10 hours per month and includes biweekly board meetings, plus committee meetings and organizational support.  The Board of Directors meets at Amelia Rising, 101 Worthington St. E, Suite 215, North Bay ON.  Board meetings are Tuesday’s at 6:30 PM, biweekly, plus adhoc committee meetings.  The Board is currently meeting virtually due to Covid-19 safety procedures.

We are looking for the following relevant skills, knowledge and perspectives:
