Bilingual Outreach Counsellor
Description:
- Deliver counselling and support to survivors of gender based violence either face to face, over the telephone or online
- Working with individuals and in groups.
- Complete clinical records and writing up to date reports
- Building a relationship of trust and respect with clients
- Listening to clients’ concerns, providing empathy, and guiding them to see things more clearly or differently, using therapeutic frameworks
- Follow Centre polices, protocols and procedures
- Willing and able to be supervised in your clinical work. Being open to feedback.
Qualifications:
Must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Bilingual in French and English required

Public Education Internship – Closed
Description:
- Develop, deliver and research sexual violence prevention workshops in schools, organizations, and businesses with support and supervision from our Public Educator and Executive Director.
- Development and delivery of educational workshops targeting the intermediate, secondary and post secondary school audiences as well as local organizations and businesses. Workshops are intended to work towards prevention of future violence and to empower young people to become ambassadors for healthy relationships and gender equity.
- Social media curation and content building
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate for this position will ideally have experience or education in Education, Gender Equality and Social Justice, Child and Family Studies, Social Welfare, Psychology or Sociology and be a university or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of tech, computers, webinar delivery is considered an asset.

Trauma Counselling Internship – Closed
Description: To provide counselling to survivors of sexual and gender based violence through individual and group counselling under the clinical supervision of the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Time management and organization; computer and webinar literate; knowledge and understanding of sexual and gender based violence and the trauma response. Skills in crisis intervention and management preferred.
- The successful candidate for this position will have a experience or education related to Social Work, Gender Equality and Social Justice, Child and family studies, Social Welfare, Science Psychology, Social Service Worker or other related field of study and be a recent graduate from an accredited college or university holding a diploma or degree seeking first time experience in their field of study.
- Bilingualism considered an asset
