Bilingual Outreach Counsellor

Description:

  • Deliver counselling and support to survivors of gender based violence either face to face, over the telephone or online
  • Working with individuals and in groups.
  • Complete clinical records and writing up to date reports
  • Building a relationship of trust and respect with clients
  • Listening to clients’ concerns, providing empathy, and guiding them to see things more clearly or differently, using therapeutic frameworks
  • Follow Centre polices, protocols and procedures
  • Willing and able to be supervised in your clinical work.  Being open to feedback.

Qualifications:

Must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Bilingual in French and English required

COVID-19 Considerations: We are working from both home and at the office, health and safety guidelines are being followed in office with plexiglass shields, universal mask wearing in place and distance between staff placed as priority. Tech will be provided to work from home/ in-office. Parking costs may be reimbursed at a rate of 50%.
